Who’s that girl? | Perth Portrait Photographer

Who’s that girl?  That’s my beautiful niece!  And with a shot like that, I don’t think she’s a little ‘girl’ anymore.

For a long time now I’ve been wanting to do a shoot that didn’t have any grass, trees or sky in it.  Don’t get me wrong, I love shooting in parks.  But for the longest time I’ve wanted to do a shoot in the City.  There’s so many different colours and textures.  And when you’re in the shade it’s solid shade, not mottled.

And so I invited my niece to meet me in the City for a shoot.  She was such a great sport as she let me try out a few things.  We also filmed a little bit of movie for me to try out this new Fusion Photography thing – but I have a huge learning curve ahead of me before I’ll produce anything worth seeing.  But stay tuned.  Her mum (my sister-in-law) came along too to hold the bags and keep an eye out for us.

Somehow we managed to jag one of the few days that Perth has an overcast sky.  The clouds acted like a huge light diffuser giving me some beautiful soft lighting to work with.

Thanks for being my model for an afternoon Jessica.
